- 어? 진짜요?Huh? Really?
진짜 means “really.” Raising your tone at the end shows surprise and asks for confirmation at the same time.
- 깜짝 놀랐어요.I was so surprised.
깜짝 describes a sudden start of surprise. It is almost always paired with 놀라다.
- 와, 이게 다 뭐예요?Wow, what is all this?
이게 is a contraction of 이것이. Use it when you are amazed by a lavish meal or a pile of presents.
- 헐, 말도 안 돼.Wow, no way.
헐 is internet slang for shock and is for friends. With elders or in public, use 어머 or 세상에 instead.
- 너무 웃겨요.That’s so funny.
웃기다 literally means “to make (someone) laugh,” so “funny.” It is more specifically about laughter than 재미있다.
